On Monday the Supreme Court denied an appeal from former California high school students who were forced to turn their American flag T-shirts inside out during a Cinco de Mayo celebration at school. The appeal was denied without any comment from the justices. The students were originally told the administrators were worried about inciting trouble from students celebrating the Mexican holidays. When the students brought the case to court it was denied after the judge ruled that the fear of racial violence outweighed the possible infringement of freedom of speech.
