The Justice Department inspector general reports that agents of the Drug Enforcement Administration attended sex parties funded by drug cartels on government property. The report examines the DEA’s response to sexual harassment claims from 2009 to 2012. The inspector general highlight a lack of communication and accountability among internal affairs investigators assigned to investigating misconduct allegations. Employees with the FBI, DEA, U.S. Marshals Service and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives have all been accused of being involved in inappropriate sexual behavior. Seven agents admitted to attending parties in Colombia with prostitutes paid for by the cartels.
